Gift cards give your customers the opportunity to share their love for your brand with others. With Shopify POS, you can sell and redeem gift cards in person. Your customers can use gift cards to make purchases from your store both in person and online.

Gift cards overview

To sell and redeem digital gift cards with Shopify POS, you need to meet the following requirements:

• the gift card feature activated in your Shopify admin

• gift cards enabled in Shopify POS

If you want to sell and redeem physical gift cards, then you need to enable physical gift cards in Shopify POS.

Sales channels that support gift cards

Customers can redeem their gift cards on any of your sales channels that use Shopify's checkout:

• Online store

• Buy Button

• Facebook Shop

• Messenger

• Shopify POS
