Same Day handling time

Same Day handling time allows you to show the customer a faster delivery promise that reflects your ability to pick, pack, and ship a product the same day of receiving an order. This only applies to Domestic Standard and Expedited Shipping and only if the order is received before the cut-off time.

The feature is only available to sellers that meet high delivery performance standards.

Requirements for Same-Day handling time:

• Be able to meet the following performance requirements on a trailing 30-day basis:
  • An On-Time Delivery Score of at least 97% across all your shipments
  • A Late Shipment Rate less than 4% across all your shipments

 

Note: Same Day handling time should not be confused with Same Day Delivery. For Premium Shipping (Same Day Delivery, Next Day Delivery, and Two Day Delivery), the delivery date is automatically set and you are always required to ship a product the same day as long as the order is received before the order cut-off time.

Order cut-off time

The default order cut-off time for your Standard and Expedited Shipping orders (when Same Day Handling Time is enabled) is set to 2 p.m. local time (as per the time zone of your default shipping address).
