如果各条目检查的时候发现有任何遗漏或差错，那么应该就下列各点立即作出决定，采取必要的措施。
(1)能不能更改计划或单据内容来相应配合。
(2)是不是应该要求买方修改信用证，如果要求修改信用证，应注意以下几点。
①凡是需要修改的内容，应做到一次性向客户提出，避免多次修改信用证的情况。
②对于不可撤销信用证中任何条款的修改，都必须取得当事人的同意后才能生效。
③对信用证修改内容的接受或拒绝有两种表示形式：受益人作出接受或拒绝该信用证修改的通知；受益人以行动按照信用证的内容办事。
④收到信用证修改后，应及时检查修改内容是否符合要求，井表示接受或重新提出修改。
⑤对于修改内容要么全部接受，要么全部拒绝，部分接受修改中的内容是无效的。
⑥有关信用证修改必须通过原信用证通知行才具真实、有效；通过客户直接寄送的修改申请书或修改书复印件不是有效的修改。
⑦ 要明确修改费用由谁承担。一般按照责任归属来确定修改费用由谁承担。

若有疑问，可向本单位的联系银行或通知行咨询。但有一点请记住：只有申请人和受益人及有关银行共同同意，才有权决定修改。
(3)要让客户修改信用证，跟单员要做的一项重要工作就是拟写改正函，一份规范的改正函主要包括以下三方面内容。
① 感谢对方开来信用证。
② 列明不符点并说明如何修改。
③ 感谢对方合作，并希望信用证修改书早日开到。
以下提供两个范本供参考。
Dear Sir:
RE: EXTENDING VALIDITY F THE L/C
We regret to say that we have not received your L/C related to above meationed Sales Confirmation until today. It is stipulated clearly in the Sales Confirmation that the relevant L/C must reach to us not later than the end of August. Reaching time of the L/C is overdue, we would like still to ship your goods in view of long-standing friend relationship between us. However,we can not make shipment of your goods within the time stipulated in the Sales Confirmation owing to the delay of the L/C. Therefore, the L/C needs to be extended as follows.
(1) The time of shipment will be extended to the end of Oct.
(2) Validity of the L/C will be extended to NOv 15.
Your kind attention is invited to the fact that we must receive your L/C amendment before Sept 30.0tberwise, we will not be able to effect the shipment in time. Looking forward to receiving your L/C amendment early.

我们遗憾地告诉你方，直到今天我方才收到你方有关上述售货确认书的估用证。在所述确认书上清楚地规定有关信用证应不迟于8月底到达我处。虽然你方信用证到达的期限已过，但鉴于我们之间的长期友好关系，我们仍愿装运你方订货。然而，由于信用证迟到，我们不能按售货确认书所定时间装运货物。因此，需将信用证展期如下。
(1)将装运期延期至10月底。
(2)将信用证有效期展至11月15日。
请注意我们要求在9月30日之前收到信用证修改件。否则，我们无法如期装运货物。期盼及早收到你方信用证修改通知书。
